On a typical day, you'll see romantic couples walking, having a picnic, local Ticos on horseback, families having fun while beachcombing, and dive boats coming in from their underwater adventures. There are a handful of bars and restaurants scattered along the beach.
Playa Panama offers a dark grey sand beach surrounded by lush tropical palms. With picture perfect views of Bahia Culebra (Snake Bay), Playa Panama is the perfect location for beachcombing, swimming, and to while away a lazy Costa Rican afternoon.
Playa Hermosa offers a gorgeous black volcanic sand with sparkling gold flecks. and with its sheltered location, Playa Hermosa is perfect for swimming and soaking up the Costa Rican sun. Visitors and locals enjoy grabbing a cold one at a few local bars tucked away a block back from the beach.
