Orosi Volcano Petroglyphs at Liberia Airport

If you're planning on traveling to Costa Rica this fall, you may want to take your time when leaving Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport in Liberia, Guanacaste.  Why?  Because this is your chance to view the collective art exhibit, Petroglyphs of the Orosi Volcano - Hidden Messages of Ancestral & Contemporary Art.

The Orosi Volcano in northern Guanacaste is a haven for pre-columbian artifacts including rock carvings and diagrams known as petroglyphs.  To bring awareness to this important historic site, a group of leading Costa Rican artists have come together to present their interpretations of the petroglyphs to tourists and ticos alike.

Prominent artists on display at the Liberia airport include Renaissance Man Otto Apuy, Juan Carlos Ruiz, Fabio Herrera, Jose Jackson Guadamuz and more.  The Petroglyphs of the Orosi Volcano will be showcased at their until November 30.
