In celebration of the recent Chinese New Year, 52 chefs in San Jose came together to cook up 1.3 tons of fried rice earning them a new Guinness Book of World Records title. After taking more than six hours to prepare, an estimated 7,000 people were lucky enough to enjoy the dish.
The China-Costa Rica Association has been fortifying the country's relationship with the Republic of China for some time. Latin America's first ever Chinatown was designated last December in San Jose; comprised of 12 city blocks, Chinatown offers a combination of shops, restaurants, colorful sights, and a traditional arched entranceway.
