Costa Rica Zika

According the to the World Health Organization (WHO) statement released February 1, 2016, there are no restrictions on travel to areas affected by the Zika virus.

Costa Rica will soon be entering it's dry season, when the general population of mosquitoes decreases. There are also joint efforts across the country to help eradicate any standing water issues where mosquitoes may breed.

As always, precautions against mosquito bites should be taken. We recommend a good mosquito repellant & portable mosquito nets for added peace of mind! And, be sure to view our Costa Rica Packing List before your departure.

And here's another statement that's been issued citing "Tourists can visit Costa Rica without fear of the Zika virus".

Cheers,
Ed & Connie
