Dinosaurs in Costa Rica

Think Jurassic Park. Foggy, leafy green jungles full of dinosaurs at every turn. But, dinosaurs in Costa Rica?? Yep.
No, we're not crazy. There are dinosaurs in Costa Rica. Seriously. They're in lush Rincón de la Vieja National Park in Northern Guanacaste, just 100 km north east of our condo in Playas del Coco. Check it out!

Blue River Resort is home to Dino World where full-size dinosaurs come to life in their natural rain forest habitat. This family friendly theme park has 22 dinos on display including a velociraptor, spinosaurus and a famous brachiosaurus, above. They move, they blink and they roar. Run!!

It's recommended you purchase one-day tickets to Dino World in advance, due to popularity, and they're available for $45 per adult, $35 for kids 12 and under. For another $10 bucks, you can add lunch - but even better than that is the $25 upgrade which includes access to Blue River Resort's hot springs and mud treatment, along with their botanical and butterfly gardens. Spa treatments are also available!
