Turtle Watching in Costa Rica

From now until mid-February, visitors to Costa Rica can enjoy turtle watching at Playa Grande in Parque Nacional Las Baulas. It's about 45 km (28 miles) south of our affordable, ocean-view condo in Playas del Coco, Guanacaste, on the Pacific Coast. Check out How to Get Here!

Nesting Leatherback turtles at Playa Grande make up half the Leatherback population in the entire western Pacific. But take note, it's necessary to make advance reservations to witness this most exciting of events as entry into the area during this time is strictly controlled, and rightfully so! Just look at this little guy go, he's more than cute!
