Only 2.3 km from our condo, Le COQ is a Lebanese restaurant known for its delicious Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and vegetarian dishes, all at bargain prices. Be sure to try the Chicken Shwarma!

The Lookout

An upscale restaurant with menu options ranging from fresh seafood like ceviche to tuna melts, along with a nice menu of craft beer. Just 1.7 km from our condo!

Citron Restaurante

Citron Restaurante

Located just after the Auto Mercado grocery store plaza, is 1.9 km from our condo. It's a modern, airy venue with a great Mediterranean and Spanish menu. 

Zi Lounge Restaurant

This has to be one of the most happening nightlife places in all of Playas del Coco. Located on the main street only 2.4 km from our condo, the Zi Lounge restaurant offers a selection of Latin American cuisine, as well as American favorites like pizza and hamburgers. It's a typical bar-food type restaurant/atmosphere.

Kaixo

Kaixo

This  bright restaurant is definitely making waves as the place to dine in Playas del Coco! This airy venue also has a handmade artisan gallery as well as offering a nice selection of Mediterranean, Spanish, European and vegetarian dishes. What's really popular? Their $10 Spanish lesson/coffee/pastry combo! Kaixo is 3 km from our condo.

La Caveja

There are great reviews for this pizza restaurant in Playas del Coco! They offer traditional Italian pasta, thin-crust pizza and salads - all conveniently available for eat in or take out. La Caveja is 3.2 km from our condo

Villa Italia

Villa Italia

Another authentic Italian restaurant offering traditional dishes like gnocchi bolognese and homemade pasta. Villa Italia is 2 km from our condo, an approximate 26 minute walk.

Soda Mediterranea

A third Italian restaurant with an Italian owner serving up specialities like catch of the day, handmade gnocchi and pasta. You can dine inside or in the rustic courtyard with colorful, eclectic decor! Soda Mediterranea is 3.2 km from our condo.

Donde Johann

An international restaurant offering an array of dishes such as wood-fired pizza, sushi and Mediterranean cuisine. It's on the way towards the Liberia airport, just 3.8 km from our condo.

Papagayo Seafood Steakhouse & Sushi Boat

On the heels of our Top Restaurants in Playas del Coco, Costa Rica, we're almost ashamed to admit we forgot one of our favorite restaurants to eat!

When it comes to the best surf and turf in all of Playas del Coco, Papagayo Seafood, Papagayo Steakhouse, and Papagayo Sushi Boat offer a wonderful selection of delicious cuisine at very reasonable prices.

Actually three distinct restaurants in one venue, Papagayo operates their own fleet of fishing boats while exporting some of their catch to the U.S.  This 'no middleman' operation ensure the freshest of seafood which goes directly from the boat to the table.

We truly enjoyed meeting our host, the wait staff and the attention to detail we experienced every time we dined at the Papagayo trio.  At most, an entire meal for two - shared appetizer, seafood special, filet mignon & three alcoholic drinks - came to no more than $38 US/CAD per visit.  For the amount and quality of food we received, it was a true bargain which kept us going back time after time.

All three Papagayo restaurants in Playas del Coco are open daily from  12:00 noon to 11:00 p.m. daily and are just minutes away from our serene ocean view condo available from only $43 per night for a 7 night stay.

For a sleepy little beach town, the nightlife in Playas del Coco is second to none.  Visitors will find a selection of happening beach bars with live music, DJs spinning tunes to the disco beat, gambling, and happy hour drink specials along Coco's main tree-lined street.
