But now there's another reason to drink this lager-style beverage: Imperial has just been declared to be the worlds first beer to be water positive!

Only 2.3 km from our condo, Le COQ is a Lebanese restaurant known for its delicious Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and vegetarian dishes, all at bargain prices. Be sure to try the Chicken Shwarma!

The Lookout

An upscale restaurant with menu options ranging from fresh seafood like ceviche to tuna melts, along with a nice menu of craft beer. Just 1.7 km from our condo!

Located just after the Auto Mercado grocery store plaza, is 1.9 km from our condo. It's a modern, airy venue with a great Mediterranean and Spanish menu. 

Zi Lounge Restaurant

This has to be one of the most happening nightlife places in all of Playas del Coco. Located on the main street only 2.4 km from our condo, the Zi Lounge restaurant offers a selection of Latin American cuisine, as well as American favorites like pizza and hamburgers. It's a typical bar-food type restaurant/atmosphere.

This  bright restaurant is definitely making waves as the place to dine in Playas del Coco! This airy venue also has a handmade artisan gallery as well as offering a nice selection of Mediterranean, Spanish, European and vegetarian dishes. What's really popular? Another authentic Italian restaurant offering traditional dishes like gnocchi bolognese and homemade pasta. Villa Italia is 2 km from our condo, an approximate 26 minute walk.

"Coco beach isn’t a surfing beach, but does house many different species of fish which makes it an excellent fishing spot. Swimming and bathing are perfectly suitable for Coco waters and the waters are very kid and adult friendly. Some times of the year the waves get big depending on swells.

Three islands can be seen from shore where many divers go to swim with sharks, octopus, turtles and stingrays. Many hills and cliffs surround the horseshoe shaped beach and it is a beautiful view to see with green mountains and hills and striking blue water."

All the bars are open with counter seating along the perimeter so you can have a drink, eat, and people watch to your heart’s content. Bars on the beach are La Vida Loca, Tiki Coco and Ancla. 

During weekends and holidays, music blasts from all the bars and there’s always a party going on. Sometimes they’ll have live music and you can dance the night away."

Having opened in 2015, the modern and airy Hard Rock Cafe Guanacaste offers a nice selection of rock memorabilia combined with good food and fun, as well as an outdoor terrace perfect for soaking up the Costa Rican sun or relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Of course, there's also a store offering all of their signature logo souvenirs.
