Wow. With so many new resorts in the works, there's such a buzz in the air about Playas del Coco, Costa Rica - if you're into that kind of thing, that is.

With 151 rooms, the hip W Costa Rica - Playa Conchal is set to open in 2019. This edition to the chic W Hotel chain follows the successful opening of W Bogota in 2014, and will follow the W Panama opening in 2017. W Hotels are known for their signature dining and sleek W Living Rooms where the nightlife is always happening. For locals, this means up to 350 jobs.
Secrets Papagayo is a luxe, all-inclusive, adults-only (read: expensive!) resort that opened in April of this year, but was previously known as the Doubletree Resort, which first opened back in 2008. The property received a $70-million refurbishment and voila, Secrets Papagayo was born.

The Monte del Barco Beach Hotel & Residences will include an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course along with an assortment of 5-star private residences, rooms and suites. It's set to have a huge 8,400-square-foot spa, which we totally suggest you visit for the day while staying at our condo. Pampering is good! While an opening date has yet to be given, this upscale property will be part of Rosewood Hotel & Resort chain.
